Wash Your Hands Please
My day of retail therapy was rather strange. First of all, I forgot that I10 was closed from Avondale Blvd to 91st Avenue, so traffic was basically a nightmare in the west valley today! It took twice as long to get to IKEA thanks to the detours and construction. We made it though, and IKEA, as always, was a fun shopping experience. I did get a bamboo shoot which I don’t actually have any idea of what to do with it…do I set it in water like it was in the store, or do I plant it in dirt?
The outlet mall was great as well, although it was very crowded. Then we went to Taco Bell for lunch and it was NOT a good experience. It took 15 minutes for us to get our food. The cashier was rude. I had no idea Taco Bell didn’t offer bottled water or real iced tea. To make it worse, while we waited for our food we watched the cashier handle a broom, then (without washing her hands) new cups, then the mop, then cup lids (still hasn’t washed her hands), then set cups face down on the dirty counter, and then our food finally came. I was not happy. And neither was my stomach after I ate. It will be a long time before I venture back in there.

A warning for all!
Sue …
… a friend of mine planted her Lucky Bamboo in soil and it died. I have had one small Lucky Bamboo for numerous months and I keep it in a tall vase with pebbles (for support) and ONLY water … no soil.
BTW, they love an hour or so of bright sunlight!
