Serious Questions

What would you do if someone threatened your life? Or to hurt you?

Would you assume it was mere words said in the “heat” of the moment”?

No I wouldn’t. I would tell a supervisor if it was work related.

If this was at work, I’d be in HR faster than the other person could say heat of the moment.
If this were part of my real life or heck, even blogging life, I’d call the cops.

    Kat,

The police say they can’t really do anything until the person actually does something.

Hmmm….then if the police can’t help at this point I’d be sure my close friends (and possibly neighbors) knew of the situation and I’d take strides to ensure my personal safety somehow.

I would take it seriously and keep my eyes open. I hate it when the police say that…

Even if the police can’t do anything about a verbal threat it is important to have it filed and on record . I agree with the others, and if it were me I would let everybody know, including that the threat has been put on record at the police station.

ps. I wouldn’t assume anything, and it wouldn’t be a matter of overreacting or panicking. Someone makes a threat there is no reason why they should see that threat quietly accepted as if it is okay.
