This and That

December 9th, 2007   Filed under: Everyday life, Life in Arizona, Pets

I have bread baking in the oven to warm up the house this morning. I’m writing Christmas cards, and watching Next. I’m really looking forward to the opening of National Treasure: Book of Secrets in a few weeks.

When I let the dogs out earlier, I watched a cat race up the pecan tree, and then all three dogs attempt valiantly to climb the tree to get the cat. Lucy was the top jumper, which is ironic since she’s the smallest of the dogs. Yesterday afternoon I was raking leaves and noticed that she has also learned to “lift her leg” like the boys do to mark her territory. The yard work took it out of me last night. There’s usually mold under leaves, which is why I rake and bag them. I’m allergic to mold and grass and so even the shower I took when I was finished didn’t help as much as I’d hoped it would. (But I’m okay this morning.)

I’m trying to cut back on the amount of artificial sweetener I consume. A friend told me that some of the aches and tingling feelings I’ve been having could be related to it. I just can’t give up my Diet Coke, but I did switch to regular creamer and have cut back on the amount of Diet Coke I’ve been drinking. We’ll see in a few weeks if there’s any difference.

I could NEVER give up my Diet Coke ! I have tried a few times and just can’t do it.

Well, maybe if it was life or death but it wouldn’t be easy.
