Finally…the Weekend Before Christmas

December 22nd, 2007   Filed under: Everyday life, Movies, School

The days leading up to a holiday tend to be full of discipline referrals…some because of the excitement of the coming holiday and some because staff are tired and tend to send kids to the office more frequently. For whatever reason, it was a long week and I’m glad it’s over. The lowlight of the week was being physically assaulted at work which ended up with the police having to escort the perpetrator out. I don’t think I realized until late last night just how much the incident bothered me, perhaps because of the busy-ness of the week and the total lack of sleep Thursday night. Either way, the holiday celebrating at work is officially over, and I’m looking forward to the two weeks off.

Last week I went to see I Am Legend, and I’d recommend it. Tomorrow I’m looking forward to seeing National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Between now and then, I need to get a great deal done around the house in preparation for Christmas Eve dinner. I’m hoping to get cookies and candy made today, along with some major house cleaning and laundry.

Right now, though, I’m watching Slow Burn and cuddling with the dogs. There’ll be enough time later to get everything finished.
