It’s Over

December 26th, 2007   Filed under: Everyday life, Holidays, Pets

It was a lovely Christmas.

Christmas Eve dinner went very well, although as usual there was way too much food. I broke my own drinking rule and mixed types of alcohol but only paid for it with a bit of a headache. I had a mix for Chocolate Peppermintinins, and while they were good, they wre also horribly sweet. I’m sure after having one I can make my own version next time. I managed to give away all the left over desserts, and some of the leftover food as well, which was good.

Christmas Day was quiet, but nice. The day started with the boys escaping into the neighbor’s yard. For some reason it was much easier for them to go down into the yard than it was to come back up into ours. Even a plate of leftover turkey wasn’t enough for them to be able to come back, although the neighbor’s much-smaller dogs had no problems coming over for the food and then returning to their own yard. I finally took leashes next door and the neighbor (who talks to himself pretty much nonstop) helped me bring them home. I quickly repositioned some concrete blocks to make sure that there’d be no more visiting for the remainder of the day.

It’s really cold (26F) this morning and so it’s hard to get out of my nice warm bed. The dogs just came in and are all cuddled up as well. I don’t plan to go shopping today, but I do have a few projects around the house I’d like to get done.

Merry Christmas Sue! I hope you had a wonderful day! My mother-in-law is here from Tempe and she was telling me how chilly Phoenix has been. You are as cold as Minnesota right now!
