Limping Luke
When I let the dogs back in after I finished cleaning this morning, I noticed Luke was reluctant to come. When he finally got up (after a tummy rub), he was limping on one of his back legs/paws. Since he let me feel his leg up and down, and since he let me touch his paw without any fuss, and since he is able to stand with weight on it I’m inclined to think perhaps he pulled something during his morning wrestling match with Cotton. He’s not jumping around as much as usual, but is able to get on and off the couch without any trouble. Cotton limped around a few months ago in a similar way and is fine now, so I’m crossing my fingers that Luke’s having a similar issue. The fact he lets me rub the leg and paw without any reacton helps my feeling that he’s strained something while playing outside. (Yes, I’m crossing my fingers.) I’ll be keeping a close eye on him for the next few days.
Lucy is due for her yearly vaccinations. I need to call the vet tomorrow to make an appointment. They boys will be due in February so I might just make appointments for everyone now.
While I was cleaning this morning, I pulled the stove out and swept under it. I was amazed at the amount of dog hair that had gotten trapped under it. I’ll need to make sure I do that more often. The vacuum running is what made the dogs determined to get out of the house this morning. Big as the boys are, they are afraid of the vacuum.
