Boys Will Be Boys
Cotton had a visitor today, John and Sarah’s grandson Gavin. Gavin actually came to help John work on his truck, but he really likes the boys and so when I got home, both Luke and Cotton came inside to play to begin with…which might have been fun for the 3 of them but I saw lots of potential problems with that scenario, and so Luke went outside to keep Lucy company and Cotton stayed inside. Lucy is not very comfortable around smaller children, and so being outside was best for her peace of mind (and mine!). Besides, she likes John for the most part, and so she was content to watch him work on the truck. Luke, on the other hand, couldn’t decide if he wanted to be inside or outside.
Gavin and Cotton really did have a good time together, and I’m not sure who enjoyed the attention more. They had a great time chasing each other and wrestling around together. Cotton is the mildest tempered of all of the dogs, and so he didn’t think anything when he accidentally was stepped on or hugged a bit harder than he might have preferred. One things for sure, all three dogs have been sleeping soundly since Gavin and John left.
